Vitamin C Preserved (Ascorbic Acid)

Indication: Immune enhancement, anti-infective agent, antioxidant, anti-hypertensive, improves mood, improves energy levels. 

  • Antioxidant critical for immune function and to prevent certain aspects of aging.

 

Contraindications: Need G6PD lab for high dose vitamin C infusion.

Contraindications: Cobalt allergy, optic atrophy, polycythemia vera.

Indication: Cognitive enhancement, improves anxiety/depression, can improve circulation, can low triglyceride, reduces inflammation

  • Assists the body in converting food into energy. Promotes nervous, endocrine, and dermatological health.

Contraindications: Uncontrolled gout (can worsen), hypoplasiaemia, hypotension, active cardiovascular disease.

Vitamin B5 (Dexpanthenol)

Indication: Typically given with other nutrients as it is important in multiple enzymatic functions.

  • Supports metabolism and energy production. Critical for the production of hemoglobin.

Contraindications: Well tolerated

Contraindications: No known contraindications but will skew thyroid lab results post infusion.
